Our commitment to excellence extends to every department, and our Front Office team plays a critical role in shaping the first and last impressions guests have of our hotel.\n\nThe Front Desk Agent is a vital member of our hotel team, responsible for delivering prompt and professional service to guests during the check-in and check-out processes. This role demands a strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling reservation systems, managing cash transactions, and understanding hotel policies related to rates, discounts, cancellations, and special requests. This position is an in-office role with a requirement for physical stamina to accommodate prolonged periods of sitting and the ability to engage in frequent fine motor activities such as typing and operating office equipment. The employee should be able to assist guests courteously, handle cash with accuracy, and collaborate with team members to ensure seamless guest experiences. We are looking for someone with a high work ethic and the ability to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in front desk or hospitality roles preferred
- ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- physical ability to work in a standard office environment
- ability to sit for prolonged periods and perform fine motor tasks such as typing
- occasional standing, walking, bending and reaching
- ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds
- visual ability to read computer screens and printed materials
- auditory ability to participate in conversations and use phone or headset
- willingness to follow hotel policies and procedures
- reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities

Job Duties
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel
- assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
- promptly, accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges
- have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
- accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly
- review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly
- have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each
- have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations
- should be able to take reservations in approximately 2 minutes
- know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
