The role available is for a Front Desk Associate who will serve as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their stay. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner, efficiently managing check-in and check-out processes, and assisting with reservations and room assignments as needed. This position requires a thorough understanding of the hotel's front office procedures including managing guest accounts, handling payments, and performing daily transactions using the hotel's reservation and front office system. Accuracy in cash handling and payment processing is essential, along with knowledge of room rates, discounts, cancellations, and relocations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high work ethic, self-initiative, and a passion for creating memorable guest interactions.

In addition to the core responsibilities, the Front Desk Associate may be asked to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate hotel operations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hotel front desk or related customer service roles

  • ability to handle money accurately
  • capacity to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to sit for prolonged periods, occasionally stand and walk, and lift between 10 to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel
  • assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
  • promptly, accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges
  • have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
  • accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly
  • review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly
  • have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each
  • have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations
  • follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
