Efficiency and accuracy in posting charges, managing cash, checks, and credit card transactions are vital responsibilities of the job.
This position often requires managing multiple tasks simultaneously, including pre-registering guests and blocking rooms for special reservations, ensuring your ability to multitask and remain organized will greatly contribute to your success. You will be expected to work in a standard office environment, typically sitting for prolonged periods, but also occasionally standing or walking. This role requires fine motor skills for keyboarding, typing, and handling office equipment, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements
- Ability to work in a standard office environment
- prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer six to eight hours a day
- occasional standing and walking throughout the workday
- frequent fine motor skills required for keyboarding typing utilizing a mouse or trackpad writing and operating office equipment
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- occasionally required to stand walk bend reach or carry items
- ability to lift and or move 10 to 25 pounds as needed such as files and office supplies
- visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation
- ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings use phone and or headset

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel
- assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
- promptly accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges
- have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
- accurately manage cash handling including receiving cash checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly
- review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly
- have knowledge of hotel rates discounts and how to handle each
- have working knowledge of reservations and procedures including how to take same day reservations and follow cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary
