The Front Desk Agent position at Palette Hotels is an integral role responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out. Serving during mid-shift and evening-shift hours, the Front Desk Agent first impressions set the standard for guests’ stay and overall satisfaction. The role involves managing guest services with professionalism, promptly addressing and resolving any complaints, and supporting other hotel departments to achieve a seamless operational flow. This position demands excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to customer service excellence. Additionally, the agent ensures compliance with all security, fire, health, and safety policies, demonstrating reliability and vigilance. The Front Desk Agent will assist the Night Auditor with front desk and accounting duties, generate nightly reports as required, and communicate efficiently with various hotel departments regarding special guest requests or changes. Working in this capacity requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule covering both day and night shifts. Candidates with proficiency in Spanish and a strong knowledge of the hospitality industry will be highly valued. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of front desk experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to hotel operations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mid and evening shifts
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle emergency procedures
  • Commitment to following health, safety and security regulations
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Act in accordance with all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of these as required
  • Ensure that all guest complaints are managed, recorded, and resolved promptly
  • Support the Night Auditor with all front desk and accounting related duties
  • Produce nightly reports as required
  • Inform departments of special requests, early/late departures, room changes and other guest requests
  • Maintain good communication and work relationships in all hotel areas
  • Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required
