The Guest Service Representative role at Summit Hospitality Group is a vital position responsible for managing front desk operations and serving as the first point of contact for hotel guests. This role requires a combination of excellent interpersonal skills and operational expertise. The incumbent is tasked with providing memorable guest service while executing various daily duties such as handling guest inquiries, processing reservations, and communicating guest requests to relevant departments to ensure prompt resolution. The position demands a high level of organization, the ability to multitask, and proficiency with hotel management systems like FOSSE and Micros. Requiring a flexible work schedule including weekends and accommodating shifts, the role offers an engaging atmosphere for professionals passionate about hospitality and guest satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • Two (2) years previous experience as a front desk representative for a name brand hotel chain
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • demonstrated planning and organizational ability
  • able to prioritize and quickly change direction as needs arise
  • working knowledge of FOSSE, Microsoft programming, Excel, Clover, and Micros Restaurant Management System
  • able to diagnose and repair simple computer problems
  • skilled in math and able to operate a 10 key by touch

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service to guests in an intelligent and professional manner
  • run shift reports/journals from Front Office Systems
  • prepare daily arrivals/departure reports with a strong focus on guest requests
  • make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift
  • review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System
  • ensure complete guest satisfaction
  • complete guest registration process
