Job Description
Pyramid Global Hospitality is a distinguished leader in the hospitality management industry, operating an extensive portfolio of more than 200 hotels and resorts with over 18,000 associates spread across the United States, Caribbean, and Europe. Renowned for its multifaceted platform, Pyramid encompasses Benchmark Resorts & Hotels, a curated collection of unique independent properties, Axiom Hospitality, handling operations across European hotels, and PYRAMIDWORKS, which delivers integrated workplace and facilities services. With corporate headquarters situated in Boston, The Woodlands, Texas, and London, Pyramid combines the advantage of global scale with a personalized and hands-on approach. Their core mission revolves around delivering exceptional service, operational excellence, and fostering long-term partnerships that benefit guests, owners, and associates alike.
The company places great emphasis on its people, fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment where associates are empowered to grow and develop their careers through meaningful assignments and collaboration with seasoned leaders. This commitment to a positive workplace culture has garnered Pyramid numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the best places to work by publications such as USA Today, The Boston Globe, and The Houston Chronicle. Additionally, their properties consistently receive top travel awards from respected entities like Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes Travel Guide, and U.S. News & World Report, reflecting Pyramid's dedication to service excellence and community engagement.
One of the exceptional properties managed by Pyramid Hotel Group is this Candlewood Suites Hotel, owned by Michigan State University. The 128-suite hotel is seamlessly integrated with MSU's modern 96,000 square-foot Executive Education Center and overlooks an 18-hole championship golf course also owned by the university. Guests have access to a wealth of amenities including the adjacent University Club’s dining options, a health club, daycare facilities, and a variety of recreational resources, making it an ideal destination for business and leisure travelers alike.
The role available is for Front Desk Agent, a highly visible and critical position within the hotel. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in customer-facing environments and want to build a career in hospitality. The Front Desk Agent serves as the face of the hotel, creating a welcoming and memorable first impression for guests. Responsibilities include checking guests in and out, registering and assisting guests with their needs, managing reservations, and providing comprehensive local information to enhance their stay.
Beyond routine check-in and check-out duties, the Front Desk Agent plays a pivotal role in guest satisfaction, handling special requests, resolving issues promptly to 'WOW' guests, and promoting the hotel’s special programs and amenities. This role requires excellent communication skills, attentiveness, and a passion for engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. The position demands flexibility, including availability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to maintain professionalism in fast-paced, dynamic settings. Working at this property offers valuable exposure to a world-class hotel environment managed by a leading hospitality company committed to employee development and guest excellence, making it an outstanding opportunity for career growth.
