Job Description
Arbor Lodging is a premier hotel investment and management company with an expansive and growing portfolio of hotels across the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean. As a trusted partner and approved manager for industry-leading brands including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG, Arbor Lodging exemplifies excellence in hospitality management. The company’s culture is deeply rooted in a people-focused, data-driven, and results-oriented ethos, which ensures that every guest interaction is welcoming, proactive, and holistic in service. This dedication to outstanding hospitality, coupled with Arbor Lodging’s commitment to its employees, creates a dynamic and supportive work environment.
The Front Desk Agent plays a pivotal role in shaping the first impression of the hotel for all arriving guests. Serving as the initial point of contact, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism. Their essential duties include processing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, distributing room keys, registering guests accurately, and verifying reservations to guarantee a smooth arrival experience. Front Desk Agents also act as ambassadors for the hotel, offering helpful information about local dining, shopping, and attractions to enhance the guest’s stay. They handle guest inquiries and complaints with grace and promptness, striving always to resolve issues quickly and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
In addition to guest services, Front Desk Agents engage in administrative tasks such as managing payments according to hotel policies, upselling additional hotel services, and collaborating with other departments to meet guest needs. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and a friendly, positive demeanor. The position demands stamina for standing long hours and occasional lifting. Arbor Lodging offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $18, reflective of local labor markets and the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Alongside an attractive salary, employees can expect opportunities for growth through annual reviews with potential raises and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees, a 401k program with company match, and wellness benefits.
Arbor Lodging’s workplace philosophy revolves around five guiding principles: doing the right thing with integrity, leading with heart and kindness, being accountable and results-driven, aiming higher to exceed expectations, and celebrating diversity through respect and inclusion. These principles define the company’s commitment to fostering a culture where both guests and employees thrive.
Joining Arbor Lodging as a Front Desk Agent means becoming part of a reputable and respected organization dedicated to excellence in the hospitality industry. It offers a fulfilling career path for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding customer service in a supportive and inclusive environment. With its strong brand partnerships and dedication to employee development, Arbor Lodging provides a unique advantage for career advancement within the hotel management sphere.
