Job Description

Marriott International is a leading global hospitality company known for its dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences through a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts. Among its distinguished brands is the Autograph Collection, notable for a growing portfolio of four and five-star independent hotels. Each hotel within this collection is selected for its distinct quality, originality, boldness, and character, offering travelers unique and memorable stays. The brand targets a consumer group referred to as The Individualist, travelers who seek more than just accommodation—they look for places that contribute meaningfully to their personal and corporate travel narratives, providing an experience that is both authentic and inspiring.

Located at 20301 Oakwood Blvd, Dearborn, Michigan, this opportunity is with one of the Autograph Collection hotels. The position offered is part-time, non-management, with a pay rate of $20.18 per hour. The role is not remote, and candidates with open availability are preferred, ensuring flexibility in scheduling to meet the dynamic demands of hospitality services.

The Guest Experience Expert role is pivotal in shaping the guest journey from arrival to departure. It goes beyond the traditional front desk duties of checking guests in and out; it is about curating an extraordinary experience that guests find memorable and personalized. These professionals are empowered to take initiative, moving freely within the hotel environment to fulfill various operational needs and guest requests. This hands-on approach includes handling transactions as part of the guests' overall experience, completing reports, and sharing insights about the local area to enrich the stay.

Success in this role depends on key qualities and practices. These include maintaining a safe workplace and adhering rigidly to company policies and procedures, thus ensuring a professional environment for all. Maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets are also critical, as is upholding Marriott's high standards of quality. Guest Experience Experts are expected to present themselves professionally, which includes wearing the designated uniform, maintaining personal grooming standards, and communicating effectively and courteously with guests and colleagues.

This role demands physical activity: the candidate will be on their feet and moving around for extended periods, standing, sitting, or walking as needed. Additionally, they will perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. These requirements highlight the active, engaging nature of the position as it supports seamless guest services.

While no prior work or supervisory experience is required, a high school diploma or GED is preferred, aligning with the inclusive hiring practices embraced by Marriott International. The company prides itself on fostering an equal opportunity environment that welcomes diversity and values the unique backgrounds and experiences of all associates. Offering a supportive workplace culture free from discrimination based on disability, veteran status, or any other protected category, Marriott remains committed to inclusivity as a core value.

Joining the Autograph Collection team means becoming part of a vibrant global community that encourages you to do your best work, begin your sense of purpose, belong to an amazing team, and grow to become the best version of yourself. This role invites candidates who are eager to contribute to extraordinary hotel experiences and who thrive in dynamic, service-oriented environments.
