Job Description
Gaylord Hotels, part of the globally renowned Marriott International family, stands as a beacon of unparalleled hospitality and exceptional guest experiences. Located in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee, Gaylord Opryland offers an iconic destination known for its distinctive architecture, lavish resorts, and world-class meeting spaces. The hotel chain thrives by blending innovative services with rich cultural experiences, making it a preferred choice for travelers and event planners alike. As a part of Marriott International, Gaylord Hotels is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace where every associate is valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. The company prides itself on creating an environment that nurtures creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and heartfelt service, ensuring each guest encounter transcends expectations and becomes a memorable part of their journey.
The role of Guest Experience Expert at Gaylord Opryland is a unique and vital position that goes far beyond traditional guest services. This part-time, non-management role offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.50 and is ideally suited for individuals passionate about hospitality and creating unforgettable moments for guests. Rather than merely facilitating smooth check-in and check-out processes, Guest Experience Experts are entrusted with delivering a comprehensive and immersive guest journey throughout their stay. The role requires dynamic individuals who take initiative to assist with diverse operational needs, respond promptly to guest requests, prepare necessary reports, and share insightful recommendations about local attractions and experiences. These professionals are empowered to move freely within their designated areas, addressing real-time needs swiftly and effectively.
Critical to success in this role are a commitment to upholding company policies, maintaining confidentiality, safeguarding assets, adhering to high-quality standards, and ensuring a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. The position demands physical stamina as Guest Experience Experts will be on their feet, standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods. They must also be capable of handling light physical tasks independently, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 10 pounds.
This role represents an excellent opportunity to enter the hospitality industry with no prior experience necessary, as on-the-job training and support will be provided. High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalents are preferred but not mandatory. The job offers a platform to develop interpersonal skills, customer service excellence, and operational knowledge in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Joining Gaylord Hotels means becoming part of a diverse and culturally rich team that values unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences. Marriott International’s unwavering commitment to equal opportunity and inclusion ensures that all associates feel a sense of belonging. The brand encourages career advancement beyond traditional hotel roles, offering endless opportunities to grow and thrive within the Marriott portfolio. At Gaylord, associates are known as STARs—creative, entrepreneurial individuals dedicated to big-hearted service. This position invites motivated candidates to be where they can contribute their best work, begin a meaningful career, belong to a supportive global community, and become the best version of themselves.
