Job Description

Element is a modern hotel brand under the renowned hospitality company Marriott International, known for its commitment to sustainability, wellness, and creating exceptional guest experiences. Located at 1441 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this hotel caters to travelers who seek more than just a place to stay — they want a space where they can thrive, feel refreshed, focused, and alive regardless of the duration of their visit. Element embraces a philosophy that combines ecological responsibility with a passion for well-being, making it an ideal environment for guests and employees alike who value balance, comfort, and meaningful service.

This job opportunity is for a full-time, non-management Specialist of Service position, primarily preferred on the overnight shift, at the Element hotel in Philadelphia. The Specialist of Service role goes beyond traditional guest services; it is about crafting unique and memorable experiences for guests from the moment they arrive through every interaction during their stay. This position requires dynamic individuals who can take initiative, manage a broad range of guest service tasks, and maintain a guest-first approach throughout their duties.

Specialists of Service engage in a variety of operational and guest-centric tasks, including handling guest requests with professionalism, serving quality food, completing essential reports, and providing guests with recommendations about local events and attractions. These specialists are empowered to move proactively around the hotel, offering assistance in multiple guest service areas based on the needs of the moment.

The role demands physical activity such as standing, walking for extended periods, lifting and moving items under 25 pounds without assistance, reaching and bending, and other motions necessary to deliver excellent guest service. Maintaining high standards of quality, adhering to company policies, protecting company assets, preserving confidentiality, and presenting a professional appearance at all times are fundamental to success in this role.

The Element hotel environment consists of a diverse, inclusive workforce dedicated to equality and accessibility. Marriott International fosters a workplace where diversity of backgrounds, talents, and experiences is celebrated, ensuring all associates feel valued and welcomed. The company is committed to providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on protected characteristics, disabilities, or veteran status.

Joining Element offers not only a chance to be part of a global brand but also an opportunity to play a meaningful role in creating an inviting and vibrant environment for travelers. Employees are encouraged to be their best selves, work with passionate colleagues worldwide, and contribute to a workplace culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction and team wellbeing. This role is ideal for those who are optimistic, outgoing, and dedicated to connecting with guests to deliver authentic hospitality experiences that resonate long after guests have checked out.
