Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton, located at 4375 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, California, is an esteemed luxury hotel that is part of Marriott International's distinguished portfolio of brands. Known worldwide for its exceptional service and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences, The Ritz-Carlton is a leader in the hospitality industry. With over 100 award-winning hotels globally, the brand continuously sets and elevates the standards of luxury service, making every guest feel valued and cared for. This dedication to excellence has earned The Ritz-Carlton a prestigious reputation and a loyal customer base who seek superior comfort and personalized attention during their stay.

As a company, The Ritz-Carlton fosters a dynamic and inclusive work environment where diversity in culture, talent, and experiences is celebrated. The company is deeply committed to equal opportunity employment, ensuring all associates feel welcomed and supported in their professional growth. Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton actively promote non-discrimination policies based on disability, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. They also comply fully with laws related to considering applicants with criminal backgrounds, emphasizing fairness and opportunity for all qualified individuals.

The role available is a full-time, non-management position within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations category. This position plays a crucial role in upholding the "Gold Standards"—the foundation of The Ritz-Carlton’s exceptional luxury service. As a front-line associate, you will be responsible for processing guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and activating room keys. You will handle various payment methods, including cash, checks, debit, and credit cards, as well as balancing and reconciling cash at the start and end of your shift. The position also requires managing guest check-outs, including resolving discrepancies and charges after hours.

In addition to financial transactions, the role demands excellent communication skills to address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally. Coordination with the housekeeping department is essential to ensure that rooms are impeccably prepared for incoming guests. You will communicate hotel policies such as parking procedures and assist guests by providing directions and information about both the hotel amenities and local attractions.

The successful candidate will be expected to prepare daily reports detailing arrivals and departures, highlighting any special requests or issues, and maintain accurate cashier and closing reports via the hotel’s computer systems. Adherence to all company safety, security, and confidentiality policies is mandatory, along with maintaining a professional appearance consistent with the company’s uniform standards.

Physical demands include standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods, and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. The ability to cultivate positive working relationships with team members and embrace a service-oriented mindset is critical for success in this role. The Ritz-Carlton promises employees the opportunity to be proud of their work and continuously grow as part of an incredible global team.

Working at The Ritz-Carlton offers a unique chance to contribute to a world-leading luxury hotel experience where kindness, creativity, and compassion are valued and encouraged. Joining the team means becoming part of a brand that consistently strives to make every day better than the last, and where you can bring your best self to work every day. The hourly pay rate for this position is $33.15, reinforcing the value placed on skilled and dedicated employees in delivering superior guest service.
