Job Description
Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, part of the Marriott International portfolio, is a globally recognized brand that has been welcoming guests since 1937. With over 400 communities worldwide, Sheraton is synonymous with creating a sense of belonging, connecting people through engaging experiences and thoughtful service. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Sheraton prides itself on inclusivity, celebrating the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates. The company is dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities regardless of disability, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. Joining Sheraton means becoming part of a global team that supports you in doing your best work, beginning your purpose, belonging to an amazing community, and becoming the best version of yourself. This commitment to excellence ensures that every guest’s stay is not just a visit but a memorable experience.
The Guest Experience Expert role at Sheraton New Orleans located at 500 Canal St is more than just managing the front desk operations. This full-time, non-management position, offering a competitive hourly pay rate of $17.00, focuses on delivering exceptional service that transforms ordinary check-in and check-out procedures into unique moments of guest engagement. Working primarily during the evening shift, the Guest Experience Expert is responsible for guiding guests through their entire stay by addressing their needs proactively and efficiently. Empowered to move freely around the property, these professionals handle a variety of responsibilities from handling operational tasks, fulfilling guest requests, preparing reports, to recommending local attractions to enhance guests’ visits.
Success in this position hinges on maintaining a safe and professional work environment that aligns with Sheraton’s standards. Guest Experience Experts must adhere strictly to company policies, maintain confidentiality, protect assets, and uphold quality service standards. Physical stamina is important as the job involves being on one’s feet for extended periods and performing hands-on tasks such as moving or lifting objects up to 10 pounds. This role not only demands attentiveness and initiative but also a friendly, professional demeanor that reflects the Sheraton brand’s commitment to hospitality excellence. The position requires no prior related work experience or supervisory background, making it an excellent opportunity for those starting their careers in hospitality. Sheraton encourages team players eager to contribute to an inclusive and dynamic guest experience environment to apply and grow within the company.
