The Front Desk Agent role at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Tallahassee revolves around ensuring every guest enjoys a welcoming arrival and departure experience. This position demands efficiency, friendliness, and attentiveness to guest needs, acting as the initial and departing face of the hotel. The agent greets guests with a smile, uses their names where possible to personalize service, and strives to contribute to outstanding guest satisfaction scores. Effective recovery skills to handle challenging guest situations, strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities, phone etiquette, and technology proficiency are vital components of the role. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in hospitality, service, or consumer-facing roles preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure a personal welcome
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • Maintain spotless cleanliness in all workspaces and public areas
  • Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests warmly even while performing cleaning duties
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Provide accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, and wear a nametag
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a willingness to go beyond traditional roles to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a welcoming and effective workplace
  • Check guests in and out efficiently
  • Contact guests post check-in to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room rates and promotions
  • Receive and document incoming mail as required per shift checklist
