Hotel Longmont is an exciting new boutique lifestyle hotel opening in early summer in downtown Longmont, Colorado. Designed to serve both business and leisure travelers, Hotel Longmont offers a modern, locally inspired experience that blends comfort and style. The hotel features 84 well-appointed guest rooms and suites, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and approximately 2,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. Positioned as a key hospitality anchor within the city’s growing downtown district, Hotel Longmont aims to provide a unique, high-quality guest experience that reflects the vibrant character of Longmont itself. The establishment is committed to excellence in service and guest satisfaction, creating a welcoming and memorable atmosphere for all visitors. As a new development, Hotel Longmont offers the rare opportunity to join the pre-opening team, helping to build the operational foundation from the ground up and influencing the guest experience from day one.
The role of Front Desk Agent at Hotel Longmont is a vital part of the guest service operation. This position involves several important responsibilities including guest registration and check-out, handling PBX communications, managing mail and message services, and ensuring accuracy in all accounting procedures related to guest transactions. The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their stay by delivering warm, professional, and efficient service. The position requires adherence to essential hospitality standards such as making eye contact, smiling, initiating conversation, and addressing guests by name to foster a personalized experience.
This role is available both full-time and part-time with a competitive hourly wage of $19 to $20. Reporting directly to the Director of Rooms, the Front Desk Agent will be instrumental in coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations and guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months to one-year related experience and/or training
- ability to operate property management and PBX systems
- strong communication skills
- ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications

- ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
- ability to solve practical problems and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- ability to operate the property management system, capture email, and use the PBX system
- must be accountable for balancing the daily shift bank and maintain organization and demonstrate quality service
- ability to stand, walk, and communicate effectively
- capable of occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Consistently provide high level of customer service
- conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, which includes VIPS, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests
- check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner
- answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information
- complete all items on appropriate checklist by end of shift
- follow established key control policy
- ensure proper credit policies are followed and verify credit limit report
- submit all lost & found articles accompanied by a completed lost & found report
- knowledgeable of immediate area, services, attractions, and events and assist with Concierge services
- knowledgeable of fire and emergency procedures
- open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank which involves counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions occurring while on duty
- monitor room availability throughout the day
- review daily the selling status of the hotel using yield management system
- perform all other duties as directed by immediate supervisor
- contact with other departments to ensure that hotel services are coordinated to provide the best in guest satisfaction
- perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
