We are currently seeking a dedicated Front Desk Agent to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves greeting and welcoming guests upon arrival, managing check-in and check-out processes, and providing prompt, courteous service that encourages guests to return for future stays. The Front Desk Agent must handle guest requests accurately and efficiently, including selecting appropriate rooms based on guest needs and utilizing the hotel’s computer system to input and retrieve information. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries about the hotel and local area, addressing complaints professionally, and maintaining cash handling accuracy, including managing the House Bank. Candidates should possess excellent communication and customer service skills, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy when resolving conflicts or defusing tense situations. The role requires adaptability to varying schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to work well under pressure. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hotel, receptionist, customer service, front desk or administrative experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and communication
- Ability to work varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate in English
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a computer system
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hotel, receptionist, customer service, front desk or administrative experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to access and use a moderately complex computer system
- Ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel
- Check guests in and out of rooms
- Input and retrieve information routinely from computer system to communicate guest requests
- Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs
- Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Respond to guest requests and questions regarding area or hotel, outlet information and services as well as handle guest issues and report complaints to management
- Promptly answer the phone in a professional and clear manner
- Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank
- Other duties as assigned
