Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag per brand standards
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards
- comply at all times with company policies, standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk in accordance with company standards, maintaining a friendly and warm demeanor
- maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard ensuring performance standards are met
- handle requests for information, mail and messages efficiently and courteously
- answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation
- answer inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
- establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with associates and other hotel departments
- stay informed about all rates, packages, and special promotions
- follow rate quoting scenarios when taking reservations
- be familiar with all company policies, house rules and hospitality terminology
- assist in emergency procedures as required
- handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
- operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
- ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms
- use proper two-way radio etiquette
- deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, messages, packages, amenities, or other requested items as needed
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, special events, and local area attractions
- perform other duties as assigned including assisting coworkers, maintaining clean and safe work areas and hotel grounds
