Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing proper uniform and name tag per brand standards
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards
  • comply at all times with company policies, standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk in accordance with company standards, maintaining a friendly and warm demeanor
  • maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard ensuring performance standards are met
  • handle requests for information, mail and messages efficiently and courteously
  • answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation
  • answer inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with associates and other hotel departments
  • stay informed about all rates, packages, and special promotions
  • follow rate quoting scenarios when taking reservations
  • be familiar with all company policies, house rules and hospitality terminology
  • assist in emergency procedures as required
  • handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
  • operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
  • ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms
  • use proper two-way radio etiquette
  • deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, messages, packages, amenities, or other requested items as needed
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, special events, and local area attractions
  • perform other duties as assigned including assisting coworkers, maintaining clean and safe work areas and hotel grounds
