Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • ability to work full time including flexible shifts
  • no prior supervisory experience required
  • no prior related work experience required
  • ability to handle cash and financial transactions accurately
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • physical ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods
  • commitment to uphold company policies and standards

Job Duties

  • Process all guest check-ins including confirming reservations, assigning rooms, issuing and activating room keys
  • process all forms of payment such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
  • manage guest check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges
  • answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • coordinate with housekeeping to track room readiness
  • communicate parking procedures to guests and dispatch bell or valet staff as needed
  • run and verify daily reports including number of arrivals and departures
  • complete cashier and closing reports in the computer system
  • cash guests' personal and traveler's checks
  • count bank at beginning and end of shift
  • balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications
  • follow all company safety and security policies and procedures
  • maintain professional uniform and appearance
  • protect company assets and ensure confidentiality
  • welcome and acknowledge guests according to standards
  • anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • assist individuals with disabilities
  • communicate clearly and professionally using appropriate telephone etiquette
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • comply with quality assurance standards
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
