Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences through its diverse portfolio of hotel brands. Among these, Courtyard by Marriott stands out as a hotel designed specifically with business travelers in mind. Courtyard has established itself as a trusted name by catering to travelers who seek comfort, convenience, and personalized service during their trips. The brand is centered on innovation and a guest-first approach, making it a favorite destination for those wanting much more than just a place to stay. Marriott International fosters an inclusive work environment, encouraging diversity and ensuring equal opportunities for all associates. The company values professionalism, quality service, and safety as the foundation for a rewarding work culture.
Within this thriving ecosystem, the role of a Guest Experience Specialist at Courtyard is pivotal in enhancing the overall guest journey. This position transcends traditional front desk responsibilities by embracing a more dynamic and engaged approach to guest service. Specialists are entrusted with delivering a memorable and unique experience from the moment guests arrive until their departure. This includes processing operational needs, addressing guest requests promptly and effectively, completing reports to maintain smooth hotel operations, serving high-quality meals, and sharing insights about the local area to enrich guests' stays.
A key aspect of this role is the empowerment given to Guest Experience Specialists to move about the hotel freely, taking initiative to ensure guests feel valued and attended to at all times. The position demands a proactive mindset, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Specialists are expected to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods, engage in hands-on tasks such as moving, lifting, and carrying objects up to 25 pounds, and perform various physical movements including bending, twisting, and stooping.
Working at Courtyard offers an opportunity to be part of a passionate and ambitious team that prioritizes continuous improvement and guest satisfaction. The work culture encourages learning, collaboration, and fun in the workplace. Employees are supported to reach their full potential while contributing to the brand’s mission of excellence. This role does not require prior supervisory experience or formal licenses and certifications, making it accessible to individuals seeking to start or grow their careers in hospitality.
By joining Courtyard and Marriott International, employees become part of a global family that values unique backgrounds and experiences, supporting each associate's journey to becoming the best version of themselves. The company is fully committed to upholding non-discrimination policies and fostering a workplace where everyone belongs and thrives.
