The Residence Inn Downtown Seattle Lake Union, managed by InnVentures, is currently seeking a Front Desk Agent to join their dedicated team. The Front Desk Agent role is a vital position as it represents the first point of contact for guests upon their arrival and throughout their stay. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people and takes pride in creating memorable and welcoming experiences for guests. The agent will handle all inquiries, requests, or complaints promptly and courteously to build lasting impressions and foster guest loyalty.
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and error-free check-in and check-out process while maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor. You will coordinate with various hotel departments to meet guest needs in a fast-paced environment, provide local area information, and ensure all guest interactions contribute positively to their stay. The role requires excellent communication skills, proper phone etiquette, and an ability to manage cash handling and billing procedures accurately.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to use basic computer systems
- Ability to remain standing for the duration of a shift
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Ensure that all guests receive a friendly, efficient and error-free check-in and check-out experience
- Handle continuous requests in a fast paced environment by coordinating with other departments to ensure all guest requests are met
- Answer questions regarding the local area and facilities and be able to give proper directions and resources to positively influence each guest’s stay
- Demonstrate proper phone etiquette including transferring calls, taking messages and making reservations
- Follow proper cash handling procedures and be able to post and reconcile charges applied to guest receipts
- Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
