Job Requirements

  • Stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Type on and operate computers and office machinery
  • Perform 10-key operation and data entry
  • Dial telephones and manipulate objects, handles, tools, and controls
  • Bend, stoop, crouch, and lift supplies up to 25 pounds throughout the hotel
  • Move throughout the hotel and guest rooms
  • Inspect and visually observe details at close and long range
  • Occasionally lift packages or office equipment
  • Work in an environment with moderate noise levels
  • Read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked
  • Must clock in and out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • Work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
  • Understand and utilize relevant technology for each role
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • Assist in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet every guest with a smile while cleaning
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
  • Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed at all times
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Show willingness to stretch beyond traditional role to meet business needs
  • Work together to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • Ensure all guests are checked in and out in a timely manner
  • Contact guests after check-in to ensure their room is satisfactory
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of room rates and promotions
  • Receive and note all incoming mail as required per shift checklists
