Job Requirements
- Stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Type on and operate computers and office machinery
- Perform 10-key operation and data entry
- Dial telephones and manipulate objects, handles, tools, and controls
- Bend, stoop, crouch, and lift supplies up to 25 pounds throughout the hotel
- Move throughout the hotel and guest rooms
- Inspect and visually observe details at close and long range
- Occasionally lift packages or office equipment
- Work in an environment with moderate noise levels
- Read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
- Must have a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must have a desire to serve all guests
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked
- Must clock in and out for breaks at designated times
- Must provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift
Job Duties
- Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
- Use the guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
- Work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
- Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency
- Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
- Support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
- Understand and utilize relevant technology for each role
- Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
- Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
- Assist in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
- Greet every guest with a smile while cleaning
- Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
- Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
- Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed at all times
- Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
- Show willingness to stretch beyond traditional role to meet business needs
- Work together to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
- Ensure all guests are checked in and out in a timely manner
- Contact guests after check-in to ensure their room is satisfactory
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of room rates and promotions
- Receive and note all incoming mail as required per shift checklists
