Job Description

About Marriott International: Marriott International is a leading global hospitality company renowned for its commitment to excellence and exceptional guest experiences. As a pioneer in the hotel industry, Marriott manages a diverse portfolio of brands that cater to various travel needs, including luxury, business, and leisure travel. Known for its rich blend of culture, talent, and innovation, Marriott consistently strives to create welcoming environments that inspire both guests and associates. The company is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring a workplace where unique backgrounds and experiences are celebrated. Marriott is an equal opportunity employer, committed to non-discrimination and providing access to opportunities for all associates. Marriott’s Courtyard brand, in particular, is celebrated for redefining the business travel experience by offering tailored services and amenities designed specifically to meet the needs of modern travelers.

About the Guest Experience Specialist Role: The Guest Experience Specialist role at Marriott’s Courtyard brand is critical to delivering an exceptional and memorable guest journey. Unlike traditional front desk positions, this role embodies a "guest first" mindset and goes beyond simple check-in and check-out processes. Guest Experience Specialists take initiative to interact with guests throughout the hotel, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively. This position requires a hands-on approach, where specialists are empowered to move freely within the main hotel areas, handle operational tasks, address guest requests, and provide local insights that enhance the overall experience. Responsibilities extend to processing operational needs, completing necessary reports, delivering quality meals, and ensuring every interaction feels personalized and integral to the guest’s stay.

This role demands physical activity, including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and handling objects up to 25 pounds independently. Guest Experience Specialists maintain a safe workplace by adhering to all company policies and procedures, protecting company assets, and upholding quality and professional standards in appearance and communication. While no previous work or supervisory experience is required, a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred to ensure candidates have the foundational skills to succeed.

Working at Courtyard allows associates to be part of a small yet ambitious team that values continuous learning, improvement, and fun. The environment empowers employees to perform their best work while delivering service that goes above and beyond guests’ expectations. By joining Courtyard and Marriott International, associates become part of a global network of hospitality professionals dedicated to excellence and personal growth. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about guest service, eager to develop their skills, and interested in contributing to a company with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
