The Front Desk Associate position at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Memphis Marion AR is a full-time, non-management role aimed at providing outstanding first impressions and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. The associate is primarily responsible for handling guest check-ins and check-outs in a hospitable and friendly manner, addressing visitor inquiries, and maintaining effective communication with all departments within the hotel. This role requires vigilance in managing financial transactions including cash handling, credit card authorizations, and guest billing to ensure accuracy and compliance with hotel policies. The Front Desk Associate will also be expected to maintain accurate guest and room status information, deliver guest messages and packages promptly, and operate front desk equipment such as the switchboard and Property Management System (PMS).
Additional responsibilities include greeting and directing guests upon arrival, completing shift paperwork with precision, assisting with lobby cleanliness and breakfast bar monitoring, and maintaining inventory for the Suite Shop/Market. The successful candidate should be able to professionally manage difficult or emotional situations, solve problems effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet commitments and contribute to an excellent guest experience. The role demands a tactful approach, calmness under pressure, and proactive time management skills.

Job Requirements

- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred

Job Duties
- Processes guest check-in and check-out in a hospitable and friendly manner
- Provides good customer service
- Enforces and executes all cash handling, check, and credit policies to accurately balance transactions, charges, payments, and guest billing
- Delivers all guest messages, mail, and packages in a timely manner
- Maintains accurate guest and room status information by completing thorough reviews as assigned
- Greets persons entering establishment immediately and directs or escorts them to specific destinations
- Operates front desk equipment including switchboard and Property Management System (PMS)
