The SpringHill Suites Miami Airport South is currently seeking motivated and personable individuals to join their team as Front Desk Agents. This role is crucial in creating memorable guest experiences as it serves as the very first point of contact and ongoing touchpoint for guests throughout their stay. Front Desk Agents utilize a warm, outgoing personality and excellent communication skills to ensure guests feel welcomed, assisted, and valued from check-in to check-out.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of inquiries, requests, and feedback that come from guests, addressing them promptly and courteously. The role demands multitasking in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with various hotel departments to fulfill requests efficiently. In addition to greeting guests, you provide valuable guidance on local amenities, facilitate reservations and answer questions with attention to detail and care to enrich each guest's experience.

Beyond the front desk interactions, candidates will handle vital operational duties such as cash handling, posting charges, and balancing transactions to ensure seamless administrative functions. The position requires teamwork and active collaboration with colleagues in all departments to uphold the hotel’s high standards and to contribute positively to the overall guest satisfaction and business success.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to stand and remain active for long periods
  • Physical ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience in a guest-facing role in a fast-paced environment is ideal

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all guests receive a friendly, efficient and error-free check-in and check-out experience
  • Handle continuous requests in a fast paced environment by coordinating with other departments to ensure all guest requests are met
  • Answer questions regarding the local area and facilities and be able to give proper directions and resources to positively influence each guest’s stay
  • Demonstrate proper phone etiquette including transferring calls, taking messages and making reservations
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and be able to post and reconcile charges applied to guest receipts
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
