Job Requirements

  • adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures
  • complete all shift checklist items
  • check in and out all hotel guests in a confident, professional and personalized manner
  • take hotel reservations accurately and efficiently
  • assist in development and implementation of special projects
  • respond immediately to guest comments and concerns
  • maintain positive relationships with employees and guests
  • answer all calls courteously and efficiently
  • maintain accurate log of guest calls
  • open, secure and balance shift bank transactions
  • maintain accounting and billing accuracy
  • possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel rates and availability
  • issue guest safety deposit boxes as needed
  • possess fluent knowledge of local restaurants, attractions and amenities
  • ensure open communication with all departments and management
  • maintain cleanliness and safety of work area
  • ensure equipment is in safe working condition
  • maintain awareness of safety issues and OSHA requirements
  • attend relevant meetings as required
  • perform other duties as needed based on operational demands

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree
  • college degree preferred
  • six months related experience in hospitality or service industry
  • proficiency in primary language of the workplace
  • ability to understand property management systems
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • operate telephone systems efficiently
  • check guests in and out professionally
  • take and manage hotel reservations
  • perform inventory control
  • provide concierge services including transportation and dining arrangements
  • address guest comments and concerns promptly
  • maintain communication with all hotel departments
  • ensure accurate cash, credit card, and billing transactions
