We are currently seeking a Front Desk Agent who will serve as the first point of contact for our guests. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and hospitable front office operation. As a Front Desk Agent, your primary responsibility will be to assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all aspects of front office functions according to the standards set by management. This position requires maintaining a high standard of service and hospitality at all times, ensuring that guests feel welcome and valued throughout their stay.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints effectively, and proficiency in operating computer systems to manage reservations and billing processes. Physical requirements include being able to handle phone communications, typing, reading, writing, basic mathematical tasks, and some physical activities such as lifting, reaching overhead, and walking stairs. The position reports directly to the Front Desk Supervisor and demands flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays.

The Front Desk Agent is instrumental in welcoming guests, managing registrations and check-outs, handling payments, promoting hotel services, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Registers guests into the hotel in a prompt and courteous manner using up selling techniques to maximize room rates
  • prepares for group check in and out and VIP arrivals
  • becomes informed of events and functions in the hotel during the shift
  • checks guests out of the hotel
  • processes customer payments according to established policies and procedures
  • responds to guest requests promptly
  • promotes hotel services facilities and outlets
  • provides guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase guest satisfaction
  • resolves guest complaints to the satisfaction of the customer
  • informs supervisor of major problems complaints disturbances or unhappy guests
  • books guest reservations or coordinates with reservation center
  • handles departmental accounting of moneys receipts guest accounts and other forms of credit
  • posts all charges
  • completes cashier's report
  • prepares deposit and counts cashier bank
  • issues controls and releases guest safe-deposit boxes
