Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hotel front desk or guest services
  • valid food handler's permit
  • valid alcohol server's permit
  • ability to work scheduled shifts including weekends
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • understanding of safety and security protocols
  • ability to use basic office equipment and software
  • willingness to assist in training new staff

Job Qualifications

  • Previous front desk experience
  • familiarity with Opera Xpress PMS preferred
  • valid food handler's permit
  • valid alcohol server's permit
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and solve problems
  • attention to detail
  • basic math skills
  • knowledge of hotel policies and procedures
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and perform guest transactions
  • balance reports and control cash deposits
  • proficiently process reservations and credit card payments
  • operate phone systems and TDD equipment
  • handle and resolve guest complaints professionally
  • maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies
  • control room keys and master keys
  • process lost and found items
  • assist in training new staff
  • collaborate with other departments to maintain room status and repair schedules
  • follow OSHA, state, and federal guidelines for safety
  • implement security and alcohol service training
  • communicate effectively using shift logbooks and reports
  • use Microsoft Office and basic office equipment
  • participate in creating a positive work environment
