The Front Desk Team Member at Planet Fitness plays a vital role in upholding the company’s standards and ensuring an exceptional experience for every member. The role also involves utilizing various technologies to assist members efficiently and confidently. Certification in CPR and AED training is required, with the expectation that team members can perform lifesaving techniques when necessary. Beyond customer interaction, they maintain gym cleanliness and organization, ensuring all areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, show areas, and Black Card Spa amenities meet high standards. Compliance with safety and sanitization guidelines is strictly observed to provide a safe and hygienic environment.

The position requires a minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma or equivalent. Job Duties

  • Communicate with members and team members in person, by phone, and in writing
  • Follow verbal communication from members, team members, and supervisors
  • Follow written communication including prepared scripts for member services such as info calls, tours, cancellations, and rate reviews
  • Use different types of technology to service members
  • Certify in both CPR and AED training
  • Perform CPR and use the AED machine
  • Use and understand exercise equipment and demonstrate its use to members
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, locker area, showers, Black Card Spa amenities, entry way, club floor, and exercise equipment including mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, wiping, disposing of trash, and handling chemicals
  • Comply with all safety and sanitization guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
