The role of Fresh Food Manager at Love's is pivotal for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of their fresh kitchen facilities located within their travel stops. Fresh Food Managers are responsible for leading a team that manages all aspects of food preparation, inventory, and customer service to enhance both sales and overall customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a passion for the food industry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to motivate and manage staff members. Fresh Food Managers will also take part in financial management by understanding and acting on profit and loss statements, thus influencing business decisions and opportunities. Job Requirements

  • 1+ years food management experience
  • 1+ years affecting and deciphering budgets and P&L statements
  • 1+ years supervising and training 5 or more employees
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical

  • Ability to navigate various computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations
  • Ability to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties

Job Duties

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
  • Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation
  • Oversee proper task execution and completion, maintain schedule integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Work alongside team members to prepare and package products in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations
  • Understand financial reporting, which includes profit and loss statements to affect business changes and capitalize on opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership in the efforts of talent acquisition
