This role is with a company operating within the grocery retail sector, specializing in the management and distribution of frozen products. The company is committed to providing high-quality frozen food items to its customers, maintaining rigorous standards for inventory control, customer service, and safety. As a well-established organization in the grocery industry, it employs a variety of teams focusing on different departments such as the freezer department, which plays a critical role in stocking, managing, and delivering frozen products efficiently. The role requires a proactive approach to merchandising, including pricing accuracy, signage updates, and the creative display of products to maximize sales opportunities. The manager is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within the freezer area, managing trash removal, and conducting routine audits and inventory counts to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.

This position demands strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret business information pertinent to the freezer department’s performance. The Freezer Manager will work closely with assistant managers and other supervisors to foster a motivated and effective team and to execute the company’s values and customer service goals. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry significant weight regularly and comfort working in cold environments with operational equipment.
