This role entails supervising a team of assistant freezer managers, supervisors, and stockers to ensure high standards in cleanliness, labeling, rotation, and pricing of freezer items. The Freezer Manager is tasked with developing work schedules, monitoring employee performance, delivering training on safe operating procedures, and enforcing discipline if necessary. A significant part of the job is ensuring compliance with HACCP regulations, including conducting audits and inspections to maintain food safety standards. The manager also oversees inventory control to reduce shrinkage and spoilage by regularly reviewing stock and coordinating with vendors on product ordering.

Additionally, the Freezer Manager ensures refrigeration equipment is maintained according to the maintenance schedule and organizes the physical layout of freezer products for optimal merchandising and easy access. Customer service and relationship-building with key customers are emphasized, with the manager acting as a liaison to enhance customer satisfaction within this department.
