The company’s client portfolio includes esteemed names such as Colgate, Paramount, Adobe, Twilio, and Tommy Bahama, demonstrating its strong presence and trusted reputation in the corporate social impact and employee engagement sector. As a technology-driven organization, Visit.org seamlessly integrates social impact activities into the workplace, facilitating connections between employees, clients, and nonprofits worldwide.
The Freelance Event Specialist role at Visit.org is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about live events, social impact, and creating engaging, memorable experiences. As an independent contractor, you will play a crucial role in managing the logistics and execution of in-person events hosted in various cities. These events are designed not only to support team-building and corporate social responsibility goals but also to create tangible community impact through partnerships with nonprofits addressing over 30 different social issues. Activities may range from environmental cleanups and volunteering at soup kitchens to educating children in STEM and supporting animal shelters.
Your primary responsibility will be to act as the on-site lead during events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly from setup to teardown. This includes coordinating with diverse stakeholders such as corporate partners, nonprofit hosts, Visit.org’s internal event team, and venue staff, to deliver seamless customer experiences. Success in this role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to swiftly problem-solve in high-energy environments. The position offers competitive hourly pay and the flexibility to work on a per-event contract basis, making it an ideal role for professionals looking to deepen their event management expertise while making a meaningful difference.
This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT, and candidates must be willing and able to travel locally. You will be the face of Visit.org at events, responsible for guiding guest interactions, managing logistics issues on the fly, and maintaining a positive atmosphere. Your contribution will directly influence the impact and success of each event, enhancing Visit.org’s mission to inspire purpose-driven workforces and socially engaged communities. Joining Visit.org means becoming part of a team that values passion, innovation, and dedication to social good, providing a rewarding experience for both professional growth and personal fulfillment.
