Participants begin the journey by applying through Emerge Career's streamlined online process, which takes just 10 minutes to complete. Eligible applicants can immediately begin a self-paced, 25-hour online CDL permit course, designed to be completed within a week. This preparation enables participants to confidently pass the CDL permit exam, with all associated costs fully covered by the program.

Following the completion of the permit course, candidates undergo an enrollment interview with the Emerge Career team to discuss their availability, career aspirations, and suitability for the program. Successful candidates are then placed in a partner trucking school where they receive in-person driving instruction and training, all tuition-free.
