Job Description

Attain Sports is a dynamic organization dedicated to enhancing sports-related experiences within communities through innovative marketing and event strategies. As a key player in sports marketing and event management, Attain Sports collaborates with various sports teams and venues to create engaging events that connect fans and communities alike. The Frederick Keys, a beloved baseball team, operates under the umbrella of Attain Sports, offering a vibrant environment where sports, marketing, and community interaction converge. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and educational atmosphere, especially for those eager to gain practical experience in the sports industry while contributing to meaningful community engagement.

The Community Outreach and Stadium Events Internship at Attain Sports provides a unique, hands-on opportunity designed specifically for current university students seeking college credit through an unpaid position. This internship is scheduled from August 2026 to December 2026 and is part-time, allowing students to balance academic commitments while acquiring valuable industry skills. Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager, the intern will immerse themselves in the operational aspects of community outreach and game-day event execution. The role is ideal for students majoring in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields who want to build a professional network, develop essential event planning skills, and engage directly with fans and community members.

Interns will gain comprehensive exposure to the execution of community events, marketing campaigns, and stadium operations. They will collaborate closely with the Keys Sales and Marketing team to plan, organize, and support off-site community events, thereby expanding the team's outreach impact. Additionally, the intern will assist the Events team in preparing and executing in-stadium events at Nymeo Field, ensuring that each event runs smoothly and contributes to a memorable fan experience. This position demands a proactive, energetic, and organized individual who excels in communication and thrives in a team-oriented environment. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays will be necessary as the intern supports diverse sporting events and community activities.

Throughout the internship, students will build competencies in marketing, event coordination, customer service, and digital engagement. They will also have opportunities to act as an ambassador for Attain Sports and the Frederick Keys, including the possibility of representing the organization in mascot form as "Keyote." Beyond practical skills, this internship fosters professional growth by encouraging active listening, openness to feedback, and a commitment to upholding the organization’s high standards for customer service and ethical conduct. This role not only supports the strategic goals of the Frederick Keys but also promotes a deeper connection between the team and the local community, reinforcing Attain Sports’ mission to enrich sports experiences through dedicated outreach and exceptional event management.
