The current opportunity at MGM Resorts is for an on-call Fountain Worker primarily operating as a Barista at Starbucks located within the Luxor Hotel and Casino. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume settings and who have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Working as an on-call Fountain Worker means supporting various food and beverage outlets within the resort, including potential shifts at the Backstage Deli, ensuring operational flexibility and consistent service excellence. The position involves preparing a variety of beverages and food items with attention to detail and guest preferences while maintaining cleanliness and following safety and sanitation protocols.
The Fountain Worker role is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience by promptly and accurately taking orders, handling payments, and presenting food and beverages in an appealing manner. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining the workspace, including stocking supplies, labeling products according to safety standards, and performing necessary opening and closing duties for assigned shifts. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing guest concerns within their scope and escalating issues appropriately to maintain a positive atmosphere. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
- Ability to work varied, on-call shifts

Job Duties
- Take and place order and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
- Collect money, while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters
- sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
- Pack and complete order as per guests' preference with any necessary condiments
- Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
- Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
- Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage maintaining organization, stock and replenish products as needed in workstation, counters, tables, etc
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
- otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
