Within this expansive entertainment empire, HOB Entertainment operates as a vibrant division of Live Nation Entertainment, managing numerous club venues across the United States. House of Blues (HOB) Venues are renowned for a diverse array of live music genres spanning Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, and Pop. They are equally celebrated for their southern-style culinary offerings, an inviting juke-joint ambiance, and the iconic World Famous Gospel Brunch. Since its inception on Thanksgiving Day in 1992, House of Blues has maintained a strong commitment to community engagement, exemplified by its charitable efforts through the International House of Blues Foundation.
This particular role is centered on the position of a bartender within House of Blues, presenting an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering high-quality service in an upbeat, live music environment. The bartender’s role involves serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food to guests, ensuring a welcoming and professional demeanor in a lively restaurant and music hall atmosphere. The position demands impeccable service skills tailored to up-scale dining, knowledge of the latest trends in drinks and mixology, and an ability to present food and drink pairings that enhance the guest experience.
Bartenders are expected to uphold responsible alcohol service standards, in alignment with local regulations and House of Blues policies, including verifying age with proper identification when necessary. They act as ambassadors of the beverage culture at HOB, demonstrating a solid grasp of how various drinks complement the food menu. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to engage guests naturally and cultivate repeat patronage. Bartenders must also maintain rigorous standards of safety, sanitation, and operational excellence, including performing opening, running, and closing duties, managing cash and payment transactions, and participating actively in pre-shift meetings.
This is an hourly-paid, part-time or full-time role with a competitive wage approximate to $16.90 per hour, subject to factors such as location and individual qualifications. It suits candidates who are driven, entrepreneurial, innovative, and committed to creating memorable experiences for guests in a fast-paced, often loud, and vibrant work environment. If you are excited to bring your skills to a renowned name in live entertainment and hospitality, this role at Live Nation Entertainment’s House of Blues offers a dynamic platform to grow and thrive.
