The role of Assistant Event Coordinator at Perfect Game USA is a unique opportunity for those eager to gain hands-on experience in the intricacies of sports event coordination. This position focuses on supporting the full scope of tournament preparation and on-site game day management. Responsibilities include verifying team rosters, maintaining exceptional communication with coaches using the Perfect Game platform, managing logistics for equipment, and ensuring the smooth execution of game day operations. The Assistant Event Coordinator will also participate in scouting support duties, coordinate staff on-site performance, and assist in tournament wrap-up activities such as trophy presentations and equipment collection.
This internship runs from Spring through Summer 2026, specifically from May 15 to August 31, and requires candidates to be available on weekends, with frequent travel expected. For events located more than 45 miles away, hotel accommodations are provided. Compensation is structured with a weekly rate of $500, adjusted based on event execution stages: 25 percent for preparation, 50 percent for executing one game, and 100 percent for executing two or more games. The candidate must be adaptable, able to handle fast-paced environments, and comfortable with conflict resolution on site. Job Duties
- assist in pre-event preparations including checking team rosters reaching out to coaches preparing awards and preparing equipment
- oversee on-site game day operations manage equipment logistics and ensure adherence to tournament rules
- communicate with teams using the Perfect Game USA platform and assist in scouting duties
- coordinate equipment distribution and evaluate on-site staff performance
- assist in tournament wrap-up ensuring all equipment is accounted for and participate in trophy presentations
- partake in Field Manager responsibilities when needed
- openness to travel hotel is provided for events located 45 miles away
