The company prides itself on a supportive work culture that emphasizes passion, teamwork, and professional growth opportunities. Employees at Mint Cannabis are part of a dynamic environment focused on crafting high-quality cannabis products that meet stringent safety and industry standards.
The Formulation Technician role at Mint Cannabis plays a crucial part in the production department, reporting directly to the Production Manager. This full-time, non-exempt position offers an hourly pay rate of $16.00 and is based in Arcadia, FL. The primary responsibility is to blend cannabis distillates, terpenes, and other ingredients accurately according to precise formulations and established standard operating procedures (SOPs). The technician must maintain high standards for safety, precision, and product consistency nationwide.
The role demands meticulous attention to detail, as the blending process directly affects product quality and regulatory compliance. The technician will collaborate regularly with production and extraction teams to ensure all products meet Mint Cannabis's exacting specifications. Duties include measuring and mixing components, operating laboratory equipment safely, and assisting in preparing raw materials and finished products for packaging and testing. Accurate documentation and inventory tracking are essential components of the position to maintain batch integrity and regulatory compliance.
Beyond technical skills, this position requires excellent organizational and communication abilities to maintain a clean and compliant workspace and to effectively report batch information and troubleshooting results. The role is suited for individuals with at least one year of experience in production environments such as laboratory, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing, with cannabis experience preferred. Candidates must be detail-oriented, capable of following written procedures, and adept at working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Candidates must meet Florida state regulatory requirements by obtaining and maintaining a Facility Agent Card. This role requires physical stamina to stand, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks while working comfortably around strong cannabis odors and raw plant materials. Employee safety is paramount, and adherence to company PPE policies is strictly enforced.
Overall, the Formulation Technician position at Mint Cannabis offers an excellent opportunity for growth within an innovative and expanding company. Employees benefit from a welcoming culture, health and wellness benefits for eligible roles, paid time off, and exclusive employee discounts on products. Mint Cannabis is committed to diversity and inclusion, creating an equitable workplace where every team member's contribution is valued.
