Job Description

Snowbird is a renowned mountain resort tucked in the breathtaking Wasatch Mountain Range near Salt Lake City, Utah. It is celebrated for its majestic views, challenging terrain, and a remarkable team of employees who share a deep passion for the mountains and outdoor lifestyle. This unique resort operates with distinct summer and winter seasons, providing a dynamic working environment and a variety of employment opportunities that include full-time, part-time, seasonal, and year-round positions. Snowbird stands out as a destination that values not only exceptional guest service but also the professional growth and well-being of its staff. Employees benefit from access to ski passes, complimentary tickets, discounts on eateries, retail shops, lodging, daycare, and exclusive offers with strategic partners, all contributing to an enriching work atmosphere. Furthermore, the resort offers convenient transportation options such as UTA Bus, rideshare vans, and employee shuttles, enhancing accessibility for its workforce. Snowbird is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming and supportive workplace that respects all backgrounds, identities, and beliefs. Candidates for employment must complete a background check and adhere to the company's professional appearance and conduct policies, reflecting the resort's dedication to maintaining a high standard of professionalism and integrity. Snowbird exemplifies a dynamic and friendly community-oriented work culture, ideal for individuals passionate about the outdoors and eager to join a thriving mountain resort team.

The Busser/Food Runner role at Snowbird is pivotal in providing exemplary guest service within the resort's restaurant located on the plaza deck of the Snowbird Center. As a busser and food runner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order at your designated bussing station, ensuring tables are promptly cleared and reset, including replenishing condiments and napkins to prepare for incoming guests. You will collaborate closely with front-of-house servers and back-of-house kitchen staff, ensuring seamless communication and efficient food delivery to guests. The role demands exceptional customer service, requiring you to meet guest needs, handle their questions and concerns with professionalism, and contribute positively to their overall dining experience. This position is year-round and part-time, with schedules adapting based on business flow, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility and a willingness to work variable hours, sometimes including overnight shifts during road closures, are essential. Physical endurance is necessary, as the job involves standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and carrying heavy trays, and bending frequently to clear and reset tables. Working in a fast-paced, often noisy environment with varying temperatures between the dining area and kitchen requires alertness, safety awareness, and adherence to sanitation standards and protective equipment protocols. Wearing the proper uniform and punctuality are mandatory. The position offers an opportunity for employment in a vibrant resort setting that values teamwork, effective communication, and mutual respect among employees and guests. If you are enthusiastic about mountain life, excel in action-oriented teamwork, and have a passion for providing outstanding dining service, the Busser/Food Runner position at Snowbird offers a rewarding and engaging workplace with diverse benefits and a supportive community.
