Established with the mission to make it easier and more convenient for pet owners to care for their beloved companions, Chewy combines a user-friendly platform with an extensive product selection, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery services. Recognized for its company culture that emphasizes inclusivity, innovation, and employee growth, Chewy operates fulfillment centers and warehouses across North America to efficiently manage inventory and order fulfillment. As part of its commitment to employee wellbeing, Chewy fosters a safety-first work environment and promotes collaboration among its team members, empowering them to contribute ideas and develop their skills.

The Forklift Operator role at Chewy represents an exciting opportunity to join the Fulfillment Center and Warehouse Team on a full-time basis, with wages ranging from $19.00 to $24.50 per hour. This role is integral to the operational success of the warehouse, focusing on maintaining a smooth and efficient inventory flow to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of customer orders. Working within an encouraging culture, Forklift Operators engage in a variety of warehouse functions such as labeling, replenishing stock, making boxes, loading and unloading trailers, and moving stowed products using forklifts. Employees are expected to uphold stringent safety guidelines while operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and other material handling equipment.

In this role, individuals will play a vital part in crafting accurate shipping documentation for domestic shipments and coordinating fulfillment processes that guarantee an excellent customer experience. Chewy values employees who are willing to learn and adapt, offering training on diverse types of PIT equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, dock stockers, turret trucks, double walkie riders, walkie stackers, and Movexx/Amigo units. The company places a strong emphasis on safety, communication, and teamwork, ensuring that every order processed respects the highest quality standards.

Chewy offers extensive benefits to its team members, including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with FSA and HSA options, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company matching. Additional perks include wellness programs, employee assistance, paid time off with accrual up to 80 hours in the first year, subsidized backup care for children, adults, and pets, and various discount opportunities both on Chewy.com and through third-party platforms. The company also supports flexible earned wage access through Payactiv and offers referral bonuses to reward team member contributions.

This Forklift Operator position invites motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join a dynamic workforce that values diversity, professional advancement, and personal wellbeing. Whether you are an experienced operator or willing to learn, Chewy provides the tools, resources, and supportive environment needed to thrive in this essential warehouse role. Joining Chewy means becoming part of a culture focused not only on operational excellence but also on making a meaningful difference in the lives of pet owners and their pets across the nation.
