Novolex is currently hiring immediately for the role of Forklift Operator at their Woodridge, IL location. This position is vital in supporting the company's high volume production environment by safely moving and transferring materials and finished goods. Compensation for this position ranges from $20.80 to $22.49 per hour, paid weekly. The available shifts follow a 12-hour schedule with a 2-2-3 rotation covering night and day shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM and 7 AM to 7 PM, respectively. The Forklift Operator plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and accountability, adhering strictly to established safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Daily responsibilities include performing forklift inspections, supporting inventory management via SAP functions, and assisting in various roles such as packing and relieving other operators during breaks. The role requires excellent communication skills in English or Spanish and demands a team-oriented approach to foster good working relationships while delivering outstanding internal and external customer service. Job Duties
- Moving and transferring materials and finished goods in a high volume production environment
- performing transfers with a high degree of accuracy and accountability following standard procedures
- carrying out all duties with a focus on safety
- following all critical safety rules, standards of conduct, and plant and company practices
- effectively performing all duties as per Operations Lift Truck Operator standard work
- assisting with operations on all EPS lines and relieving operators for breaks
- performing Packers and Operator B duties as assigned and trained
- filling in as Operator for breaks or as assigned
- ensuring timely completion of assignments
- conducting daily inspections of forklifts
- supporting SAP functions related to inventory and load management
- performing other tasks as required
