Job Description
DVSport, Inc. stands as a pioneering leader in the realm of sports technology, renowned for delivering state-of-the-art video solutions tailored for professional and collegiate teams, game officials, and broadcasters. The company’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and superior customer service sets it apart in the rapidly evolving sports tech industry. DVSport specializes in providing comprehensive technology platforms that facilitate the review processes in sports competitions, enabling real-time video replay and decision-making that are integral to fair play and game integrity, particularly in high-pressure environments like Southeastern Conference (SEC) Football games.
The Football Technology Coordinator (FTC) role at DVSport is a vital position that ensures the flawless operation of the company’s advanced video review systems during major SEC football events. Acting as the on-site technical anchor, the FTC is responsible for the seamless integration and maintenance of DVSport’s replay technology throughout SEC home games. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, including knowledge of broadcast engineering, audiovisual systems, and IT networking to manage complex video signal flows and communication uplinks effectively.
The position involves hands-on coordination with multiple stakeholders, including broadcast partners such as ESPN, SEC officials, and university personnel. The FTC is essential for guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of video feeds, which are used to assist officiating decisions in real time. Their duties span from the preliminary setup and verification of equipment and network connections on Set Days to continuous system monitoring and troubleshooting during live games. Additionally, the coordinator handles post-game equipment management and reporting, contributing to performance analysis and system improvements.
Beyond game day responsibilities, the role extends into special projects involving hardware maintenance, innovation testing, and technical support for extended season events like spring games and postseason matchups. It is a part-time, seasonal position estimated at 11 to 16 hours per game week, offering competitive compensation ranging from $30 to $50 per hour based on experience. Located at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, the role is structured as a W-2 hourly position, emphasizing compliance with employment laws and tax withholding requirements.
This role is well-suited to tech-savvy, sports-minded professionals who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. The FTC is a critical bridge linking broadcast production and officiating, ensuring that the replay systems function optimally to support fair and accurate game outcomes. Prospective candidates will find this opportunity both challenging and rewarding, providing a unique chance to contribute to the cutting edge of sports technology in one of the country’s most passionate collegiate football conferences.
