Metz Culinary Management is currently seeking experienced Grill Cooks to join their team at Daytona State College. The available shifts include both 1st and 2nd shifts, with weekend availability required to support the busy schedule of the dining services. This role offers a competitive rate of pay up to $18 per hour, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The Grill Cook role involves working in a fast-paced hospital dining setting where excellent food preparation, safety, and sanitation practices are critical. Candidates will learn both front and back-of-house duties, gaining valuable experience in plating, setup, and tear down of multiple dining outlets, including cafes, restaurants, and retail areas. Beyond cooking, team members assist with prep work, inventory management of both dry stock and perishables, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Job Duties
- prepare and cook menu items on the grill according to recipes and standards
- set up and tear down dining service areas including cafes, restaurants, and retail outlets
- assist with food preparation and inventory management including dry stock and perishables
- maintain clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas in compliance with safety standards
- collaborate effectively in a team environment while providing friendly and hospitable service
- monitor portion control and inventory levels using basic mathematical skills
- participate in catering event setup, service, and breakdown when assigned
