Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Food Service Worker and make a meaningful impact every day by helping prepare and serve nutritious meals to students and staff in a safe, clean, and friendly environment. We are a school-based food service operation committed to fostering a positive dining experience that supports the health and well-being of our school community. As an essential member of this team, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient cafeteria operations that contribute to the overall success of the school's meal program.

Our school food service department takes pride in providing wholesome, appealing meals that meet all local, state, and federal nutrition guidelines. We believe in creating a welcoming atmosphere where students and staff feel valued and cared for, which begins with the friendly, courteous service provided by every Food Service Worker. Whether you have years of experience in food service or are new to the field, this role offers a steady, full-time opportunity to join a supportive team dedicated to serving others.

In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks integral to daily cafeteria operations. These include preparing food according to specific recipes and production schedules, maintaining sanitary and safe kitchen stations, and stocking serving lines such as salad bars and milk coolers. You will also serve meals directly to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone who comes through the cafeteria.

Working in fast-paced, dynamic settings, you will need to be dependable, adaptable, and have a strong work ethic to successfully execute your duties. Your responsibilities will extend beyond food preparation to include assisting with inventory management, cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping, and adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations. In addition, you may be called upon to support your teammates by covering shifts or stepping in during busy periods.

This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. You will often engage in repetitive tasks and need to follow established routines consistently to maintain efficiency and quality standards. A background check and fingerprint screening are prerequisites to ensure the safety and security of our school community.

Our ideal candidate enjoys working with children and being part of a school community, values professionalism and inclusivity, and takes pride in performing their work to high standards. We offer regular full-time hours from Monday through Friday, with occasional extended weeks, providing a reliable schedule that fits well with life outside of work.

Joining us means becoming part of an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and inclusivity, supporting gender, minority, veteran, and disabled workers. We participate in the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Program to ensure lawful employment and maintain the highest ethical standards. If you are looking for a rewarding job where you can contribute to your community, develop your skills, and work with a great team, this Food Service Worker position is a perfect fit for you.
