The Foodservice Supervisor role at Jet Food Stores is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing and executing food operations across multiple store locations within a designated district. This role involves recruiting, hiring, and training employees across various stores to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and service. The Foodservice Supervisor implements new and existing food programs, monitors food quality, cleanliness, inventory management, and equipment maintenance to uphold the highest standards. As a leader, the supervisor maintains constant communication with deli managers and office staff to solve operational challenges and improve processes. The position requires a high level of self-motivation, responsibility, and the ability to travel extensively—up to 10 or more hours daily—to supervise multiple sites effectively. The supervisor must be adaptable to working in diverse temperature environments ranging from -10 to 40 degrees, capable of standing or walking for extended periods, handling heavy products, and maintaining clear and punctual communication. Utilizing basic computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and email, is essential for managing documentation and reporting. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- able to be in hot environments or around hot equipment for extended periods
- able to work in environments from -10 to 40 degrees for extended periods
- able to lift cases of product up to 60 lb at one time
- willing to travel 10 or more hours per day
- able to utilize a personal vehicle with company paid allowance or use company vehicle during work
- willing to work any day of the week or any time of day
- self-motivated and responsible
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of email Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Word
- strong communication skills with deli managers and office staff
- ability to investigate and document inventory shortages
- leadership experience in foodservice management
- organizational and punctual nature
- adaptability to work any day or time if needed
Job Duties
- Recruit hire and train employees at all locations in each supervisor's district
- implement train and follow up on new or existing food programs
- ensure food quality is at the highest level of expectation
- ensure proper cleanliness in food preparation cooking and serving environments
- ensure food paper products are being stocked rotated ordered delivered and restocked as expected
- actively maintains and updates pricing and standard procedures at the store level
- maintains a constant awareness of equipment care use and breakdowns to reduce or eliminate downtime
