Job Description
Maverik is a prominent convenience store chain known for its commitment to quality products, excellent customer service, and a dynamic work environment. As a fast-growing enterprise operating 24/7, Maverik offers a unique blend of fuel, food, and convenience retail services across multiple locations, primarily in the Western United States. The company is deeply invested in the professional growth and well-being of its team members, providing competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and a workplace culture that values teamwork and innovation. With a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction, Maverik continues to expand its footprint and deliver value to both customers and employees alike.
The Food Service Manager position at Maverik is a vital role that combines leadership, operational management, and customer service expertise. This role offers a starting pay range of $22.94 to $24.94 per hour, reflecting both career potential and growth opportunities within the organization. As a Food Service Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the store’s foodservice operations run smoothly, safely, and profitably. You will lead by example, fulfilling and overseeing all tasks required of team members, thereby embodying the values and standards Maverik upholds.
This position requires a candidate who is 21 years or older and ready to embrace a flexible schedule, as Maverik operates around the clock. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to engage with team members and customers successfully. You will need to remain calm and composed under pressure, consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role also demands strong problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
Candidates with at least two years of foodservice management experience are preferred, and holding or obtaining a ServeSafe certification is necessary to comply with food safety regulations. The Food Service Manager will not only supervise team members, providing training and mentoring, but also ensure that food preparation and facility maintenance standards are met. This includes managing clean self-serving food and drink stations and conducting inspections in conjunction with the Store Director and third-party agencies.
Embracing the Maverik culture means enjoying unique benefits such as an employee fuel discount, significant discounts on food and drinks, profit-sharing opportunities, and a comprehensive benefit package. Full-time employees gain access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with company match, life insurance, parental leave, and education assistance programs. The company promotes internal growth and offers consistent raises, supporting your journey toward professional and personal advancement.
Physically, the Food Service Manager role requires frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds. It also expects safe handling of equipment generating high temperatures, using appropriate protective gear. This vibrant and challenging position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and seek a rewarding career with a supportive employer committed to your success.
