The Midlothian Walmart Supercenter continues this tradition by serving the local community with high-quality merchandise and exceptional customer service.
This part-time Food and Consumable Associate role at Walmart Supercenter #1969 is an essential position aimed at enhancing the customer shopping experience. The associate will focus on two primary objectives: taking care of customers and creative merchandising. Responsibilities include moving incoming merchandise to the salesfloor efficiently, ensuring that shelves are stocked and organized to maintain an appealing shopping environment. Additionally, the associate will be involved in creating seasonal display features that align with customer needs and Walmart’s marketing strategies.
Working shifts include mid-shift and closing, offering flexibility to fit various schedules. The compensation package ranges from $14 to $27 per hour, ensuring the pay meets or exceeds the minimum wage requirements applicable to the job location. Beyond hourly wages, additional compensation options include performance-based incentive awards on an annual or quarterly basis, as well as shift or task-based premiums that can range from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour, depending on the schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. These premiums can stack, providing employees with opportunities to earn more under qualifying circumstances.
At Walmart, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package designed to support well-being and financial security. Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage are provided, along with 401(k) retirement plans, stock purchase opportunities, and company-paid life insurance. Walmart also offers paid time off, including parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting leave. Additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability coverage, company discounts, military leave pay, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement. Notably, the Live Better U program offers educational benefits covering tuition, books, and fees for associates pursuing high school completion, bachelor’s degrees, English language learning, and various certificates.
Walmart maintains a strong commitment to a drug-free workplace by enforcing a no-tolerance policy toward illegal drug and alcohol use on the job, ensuring safety and productivity for all employees. This environment fosters respect, collaboration, and an overall positive work culture, which is vital for associate success and customer satisfaction. The role is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced retail settings, enjoy teamwork, and have a genuine passion for serving customers while contributing to creative merchandising efforts. This position offers growth potential within Walmart's extensive network, aligning with the company's values of opportunity and advancement.
