Job Description
Walmart Supercenter #1551 is a leading retail establishment located at 6701 S 27th St, Franklin, WI. As part of Walmart's extensive network of supercenters, this location offers a wide range of products including groceries, household items, electronics, apparel, and more. Walmart is known for its commitment to providing customers with affordable prices and convenient shopping experiences. This particular supercenter serves the local community by offering a variety of consumable goods and fresh food items, adhering to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. Walmart is a global retail giant with a strong emphasis on associate development, customer satisfaction, and community engagement. The company champions diversity and inclusion and invests heavily in the growth and well-being of its employees through comprehensive benefits and educational programs.
The Food and Consumable Associate role at Walmart Supercenter #1551 is a part-time position offering shifts primarily during mid-shift and closing hours. Hourly wages range from $14 to $27 per hour, depending on experience and job location, with the actual pay meeting or exceeding local minimum wage requirements. This role includes additional compensation opportunities such as annual or quarterly performance incentives and may include premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed, which can range from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour.
As a Food and Consumable Associate, your main focus will be on customer service and creative merchandising. This means not only assisting customers with their needs but also actively engaging in the movement of merchandise from incoming stock to the sales floor. You will play a pivotal role in setting up seasonal display features that align with consumer demand and Walmart’s merchandising standards. Your responsibilities will contribute directly to enhancing the customer shopping experience by ensuring products are well-stocked, arranged, and presented in an appealing manner.
Walmart places a strong emphasis on providing a supportive work environment with numerous benefits. These include comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage, financial perks such as 401(k) plans, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits are robust, including parental leave, family care leave, bereavement leave, jury duty, and voting leave. Further benefits include short-term and long-term disability coverage, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, among others. Associates also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) which can be used flexibly for vacation, illness, holidays, or other personal needs, with accrual based on their job classification and length of service.
Additionally, Walmart offers the Live Better U program, which is an educational benefit available to both full-time and part-time employees at Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. This program covers tuition, books, and fees for a wide range of educational pursuits from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, English Language Learning, and short-form certificate programs. This educational support exemplifies Walmart's investment in long-term career growth and associate success.
Walmart is committed to a safe and productive workplace and maintains a strict drug-free policy that prohibits the use of illegal drugs and alcohol on the job. This policy helps to ensure a professional environment where every associate can thrive. Joining Walmart as a Food and Consumable Associate offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a respected retail leader, gain valuable retail experience, and enjoy meaningful benefits while contributing to the community’s access to essential goods.
