The Food Worker position plays a critical role in supporting this mission through the preparation of food adhering to standardized recipes and procedures, ensuring that patients receive nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences. This role involves general food preparation duties such as portioning, assembling, and preparing various food items in a manner consistent with established standards of quality and safety. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of preparation areas and equipment is a vital responsibility, contributing to the overall safety and hygiene of the food service environment.

This position is scheduled for 50% time, with shifts from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Monday through Friday, and includes rotating weekends, offering candidates a structured work schedule within a supportive and mission-driven environment. Located within the General Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa, this role offers a regular salaried position opportunity at an hourly wage of $17.31.
