Job Requirements

Prior food service and/or supervisory experience preferred
must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license under Ohio state laws
must complete ServSafe program
must be age 21 or older
working knowledge of food and beverage service including cooking and food preparation
basic math skills and ability to accurately count and handle money
ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization
ability to work cooperatively with others
ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
experience in food service or hospitality industry
supervisory experience preferred
knowledge of health and safety regulations
proficiency in operating point of sale (POS) systems
excellent customer service skills
knowledge of Ohio Department of Liquor Control regulations
strong communication skills both verbal and written
ability to manage inventory and perform cash control procedures
valid driver’s license
completion of ServSafe certification

Job Duties

Regular and predictable attendance is expected and required
work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
oversee food truck operation including pre-shift food prep
assist in preparing and serving food and beverages
help run food preparation lines
take customer orders
effectively supervise assigned employees through planning, organizing and prioritizing work assignments
train personnel in techniques, procedures and policies
provide outstanding customer service to all customers and the general public
operate a point of sale (POS) system and account for daily sales following cash control procedures
sell and serve alcoholic beverages according to Ohio Department of Liquor Control regulations and standards
follow all health and safety requirements of the Cuyahoga County Health Department and state regulations
ensure the serving area is clean, well-organized, and presentable in compliance with Board of Health Standards
perform inventory control, complete weekly inventory sheets and daily restocking of products and supplies
perform opening and closing procedures
drive the food truck to various locations throughout the park district for events
keep direct supervisor promptly informed of key issues or concerns
carry out duties in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment
respond to hazardous situations and notify supervisory personnel
greet customers and answer questions
perform related duties as assigned or apparent
