The role of a Food Transporter/Delivery Driver based at the Aces location, 295 Mill Road, North Haven, CT, offers an exciting opportunity for those interested in a meaningful position within the foodservice industry. This position is on-call, operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, providing flexible work hours with nights and weekends off. The hourly wage for this role is set at $16.97 with additional incentives like an internal employee referral bonus. Food Transporters are vital in supporting the efficient operation of foodservice by ensuring the timely delivery of food, supplies, and equipment across various units and service areas. Key responsibilities include picking up supplies and completed production orders, inventory control to verify order completion, loading and unloading materials courteously and safely, and maintaining sanitation and food safety standards throughout transport. This position requires prior kitchen experience along with ServeSafe certification to ensure all health regulations are strictly followed.
Food Transporters play a crucial role in upholding company service standards by interacting with coworkers and providing quality customer service through meticulous attention to detail. Maintaining cleanliness and performing routine maintenance on company vehicles are also necessary tasks, ensuring reliability and food safety compliance. Job Duties
- Picks up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk
- receives completed production orders from staging clerk and inventories items to ensure completion
- loads orders onto truck with assistance of staging clerks in a safe, orderly manner
- unloads requisitioned materials at delivery site
- follows sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment
- ensures hot and cold food items meet company sanitation and safety standards
- collects empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise
- maintains cleanliness of assigned vehicle
- performs routine maintenance on truck
- interacts with coworkers to ensure company service standards
- provides quality customer service via one-on-one attention to detail
- performs other duties as assigned
