Chartwells K12 is currently seeking an on-call Food Transporter/Delivery Driver to join their team located at the Lakeland Joint School District in Rathdrum, Idaho. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the school district’s foodservice by ensuring timely and safe delivery of food and supplies. The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16.00 to $17.00 and operates on an on-call schedule with varying days, generally between 6:30 AM and 3:00 PM. Candidates with prior delivery truck driving experience are preferred, as the role requires proficient driving skills and the ability to manage food transport under strict safety and sanitation guidelines.
As a Food Transporter/Delivery Driver, the successful candidate will be responsible for picking up requisitioned supplies and completed food production orders, carefully loading and unloading items, and maintaining compliance with temperature controls to ensure food safety standards are met. The driver will routinely inspect and maintain the delivery truck to ensure operational reliability and cleanliness. This position also involves interaction with coworkers and customers to deliver exceptional service by paying close attention to detail and responding promptly to any issues that arise.

Job Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license
- Food handler’s permit where required
- Delivery truck driving experience preferred
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties
- Pick up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk
- Receive completed production orders and inventory items to ensure completion
- Load orders onto truck safely and orderly
- Unload materials at delivery sites
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment
- Ensure hot and cold food items comply with company standards
- Collect empty containers and rejected merchandise
- Maintain general cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on vehicle
- Provide quality customer service through one-on-one attention to detail
- Perform other duties as assigned
